If better sleep, good nutrition, and exercise give you greater energy, it will inevitably trickle over into employee output, not just input.
Having someone who works long hours, needs 5 coffees, has brain fog, and is yawning from mid-morning is highly unlikely to perform as well as the person who operates the same number of hours but is rested, not yawning and has a clear mind!
The level of performance from your team will always outweigh the amount of time, as outlined in figure 1 below.

A study in 2014 from the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neuroscience at the University of Chicago concluded that regular exercisers are more resistant to the emotional effects of acute stress, which in turn, may protect them against diseases related to chronic stress burden (1).
The practical application of this is that if exercise reduces stress’s impact on our body and mind, you will have a team that gets sick less, along with a greater likelihood of a reduction in overall mental health issues, meaning they miss fewer days at work!
This one is a no-brainer because if someone is happy in the workplace, they are more likely to go over and above the call of duty.
As an entrepreneur, trying to build your tribe is crucial to the long-term scalability of your business, so having people go into battle for you daily goes a long way to contributing to the complete success of your vision.
